Frei did an awesome job with our home! He really listened to what we wanted and made our vision come to life! Frei kept us updated through out the process with weekly meetings and his crew was always professional and helpful! The quality is so good it looks like a brand new house! Frei event went above and beyond to make sure all the fixtures, and hardware matched! Frei also finished at our desired timeline which was very important for us! Hired Frei Construction to install our tile floor after our previous contractor screwed up the first floor. Joe and his crew were very professional and took the time to make sure the floor was as level as it could be prior to the tile being installed. His installers took time to make sure it was installed correctly, and if we had any questions or problems, they addressed them immediately. We also had trim work done it was a professional job and they cleaned up after themselves. they treated our home as if it was their own would recommend Frei Construction. We decided to leave Texas and come back home.  We found a house in March and knew it needed some serious remodeling. Joe Frier’s name was given to us and we never looked back.  While we were still in Texas, Joe went above and beyond to keep us posted on every step.  He asked questions, suggested ideas and also met us at our new home every time we flew back.  Joe sent pictures of the progress, but the pictures didn’t capture the beautiful and amazing changes.  My husband has new ideas all the time and Joe was always available to make whatever changes we wanted!  The house we purchased in March, was just that—a house, but now it’s a home that was remodeled into a beautiful home. They handled each phase of the project expertly and professionally, from conception through completion. Everyone in the Frei network was friendly, considerate, and professional. And once the project took off, each build phase was efficient and had minimal impact on our daily routines. The team was responsive to any questions we had and communicated well. Working with Frei remodeling was an excellent experience for us! It was great working with Joe from start to finish and I wish more business owners were like him. He goes out of his way to make sure you are satisfied with everything you've asked for. I really appreciated his fantastic communication and all of his subcontractors were great. Joe was very accommodating when we realized we needed to adjust our scope of work due to unexpected financial constraints, and we were still able to make our interior remodel a reality. His team had no issues creating new doors, closing up other doors, installing new walls, and working with our specific needs. The quality of work of the construction, drywall, painters, and electrical subcontractors was well above average and they were all pleasant to work with. The bottom line:  Joe is excellent.  Hire him. Joe did a total kitchen tear out and remodel for me.  A project like that is naturally disruptive, but how many people can say at the end that they didn’t experience one second of aggravation?  Joe eliminated stress by his meticulous planning and scheduling. He communicated clearly and responded to questions promptly.  His subcontractors showed up when they were expected, and they were as detail-oriented and quality-oriented as Joe.  They were quiet, neat, and easy to have in the house, and it was clear they respected Joe.  Problems arose on the job that had nothing to do with the project at hand.  A house that’s almost 50 years old will have its surprises, but Joe found solutions quickly and did not charge anything extra. I was nervous before the project started, but Joe’s calmness and self-confidence boosted my confidence.  He reassured me by saying, “C’mon, it’ll be fun.”  He clearly loves his work. Joe Frei completed 3 big projects for me: major cinder block wall repair, replacing rotting eves and boards and fixing exterior electrical problems, and total exterior painting. Joe did a fantastic job and working with him was a pleasure. We were impressed with the Frei reputation and Better Business rating.  We really were captured by the Frei "process."  We embarked on the remodeling journey long distance from our home in the Rockies while Joe Frei and his professionals remodeled our master bath in Vail, Arizona.  Joe kept in touch with us all of the way via weekly meeting with Zoom and postings of phots on his site of the progress.  We were fully informed all of the way.  Hiccups along the way were quickly addressed.  Frei Construction even installed an instant hot water dispenser in the kitchen and a water softener system for our Arizona home while remodeling our master bath.  We were delighted with the final product and the cleanliness of our home after the project was completed.  When we arrived in Arizona, Joe Frei was one of the first to greet us and walk us through our project. I bought this single story house knowing I had to make the master bath handicapped friendly.  I researched new home builders and learned that a bathtub in the master bath is not in demand, however, a bathtub should be in an additional bathroom.  So I came up with this true walk-in shower design with no shower door by removing the bathtub, decided on the marble tiles that were plentiful in stock and then sought out a very capable contractor.  I learned that Frei Remodeling has done exactly this type of job before and I was confident after meeting that we were going to have a great experience bringing the design to life, which is what happened.  This master bath remodel has to be done with skill, experience and patience. Joe and his team understood this and had expert experience for all phases of this job. The finer details were always discussed with me before implemented.  My big desires were for a long and tall pony wall providing wall space for previously missing his/her towel racks and has room for large hidden his/her shower utilities cut-outs, plus two corner seats for my handicapped showering and drying. Joe Frei of Frei Remodeling is an excellent contractor! He is professional, personable, does high quality work, stays on schedule, is great at communicating, and uses a tool to provide visual updates on a daily basis. He also works with quality subcontractors and stays on top of their work. Joe just completed a small bathroom remodel for me that has exceeded my expectations! It was a complete remodel down to the studs replacing absolutely everything. I am waiting to install a mirror and I will repaint but you can see from the photos how beautifully it turned out! I am beyond pleased. I had to move out for two weeks since I only have one bathroom and staying on schedule was essential for me. I stayed with friends and family in the Phoenix area so was not nearby to see the progress but I knew what was happening at all times and saw uploaded photos of the progress every day. My wife and I are very happy with a major remodel of our master bathroom that was done by Frei Remodeling & Construction. Joe Frei was excellent to work with and we highly recommend him. Everything to do the remodel, from the initial design, choice of materials, and the work itself was done professionally and was of high quality. Our remodel was extensive. It involved the removal of a 1980's vintage sunken tub, the vanity, a built-in linen closet, air conditioning soffits, cement floor tiles, and an interior wall. This was replaced by a new walk-in shower, vanity, free-standing tub, toilet, a new exterior window on the west wall, and extensive tile work. Joe and his sub-contractors were very respectful, and the work was of high quality and done on schedule. We can especially recommend the tile work. Joe was easy to work with and always kept his cool when issues arose either with his subcontractors or with us changing our mind about something. In situations where I would have "lost it" Joe handled it very professionally and pragmatically: is attitude was just "how do I fix this to make us happy." 6 months ago, I reached out to Frei Remodeling to help update my parents' bathroom for safety. This project turned into painting the house, remodeling the other bathrooms and fixing structural issues. Frei Remodeling has been a fantastic business to collaborate with on all projects. I trust Joe, the owner, to ensure the jobs are done correctly and in a reasonable amount of time. He is very responsive and hands on throughout the projects. All of the details are of high finish and the end results are perfection. When speaking with his subcontractors, they talk about the high standards he holds for them all. His subcontractors know the expectations and abide by them. Every person who came through our house was considerate and treated everything respectfully. I never worried about leaving my parents alone to run an errand or two and my dog was always watched and protected when doors were open. Joe remodeled our master bathroom last year and the experience was fantastic. He was responsive, receptive to new ideas and changes and was incredibly transparent through the entire process. The remodel was extensive, involving ripping out an old tub and shower, removing the floors and old cabinets, installing a new free-standing tub, expanding the shower, all new tile floors, and new cabinets with granite tops. He was very flexible when we were picking out all the things we wanted, and never hesitated to make suggestions or accept changes during the process to make our vision look even better. Joe modified my house by combining 2 rooms into 1 large room. This included taking out an interior wall and adding a new "header beam". The 2 rooms were built on different pads, and he leveled the floors appropriately. He also added a closet to another bedroom. The website allowed me to upload pictures and schedule a follow-up phone call with ease. Joe and his employee, Cameron at Frei Remodeling were excellent. I spent 9 months trying to find an installer who was willing to remodel my existing 3x3 stall shower and adjacent garden tub into an large walk in shower with oversized, difficult to work with tiles (2'x4' wall tiles and 8"x8" floor tiles with an invisible trench drain. One of the potential remodelers I had strung me along for 3 of those months. I had just about given up but decided to give it one more try and I am ecstatic that I got in touch with Joe at Frei Remodeling. He took time to ask me a lot of questions to understand my expectations and any concerns I may have. They are not a budget installer by any means, but they do not do budget quality work. He took extra steps to make sure every component of my install was meeting my expectations, kept workspaces clear and clean at the end of each day, and checked in throughout. The consistent communication, timeliness and quality of work was outstanding. We ran into 1 mishap with a shipping company, who lost a major component, causing a delay, and it took 0 effort from me to stay in the loop of what was happening. He took the initiative of working this out with the company and gave me timelines and options in the process. If you want a HGTV moment go with Joseph Frei Remodeling and Construction.  His work is beautifully done.  Very professional and works at wonderful pace to complete the project.  You can see he takes pride in his work and the completed project shows the pride he takes.  I am so pleased with my new tile flooring in the master bathroom.  Joseph Frei and the gentleman working with him gave me my HGTV moment.  Even with my son’s barking dog they managed to give me a beautiful outcome. I recently engaged Frei Remodeling & Construction to convert three full walls surrounding an interior staircase into two pony walls and a wrought iron railing, and to create a pass-through opening from the kitchen to the living room area. The goal was to create a more open floor plan, and Joe and his team did a phenomenal job of turning my vision into a reality. On day one Joe and his assistant sealed off all surrounding areas with zip walls to prevent dust and debris from entering the adjacent living spaces during demolition, drywall, painting, etc. This is the first time I have seen a contractor take that extra step to protect flooring, furnishings, and personal items during the remodeling process. I could not have asked for better communication while the work was being done. Joe would ask me at the beginning and end of every day if I had any questions or concerns, and he kept me apprised of what was going on every step of the way. The attention to detail and workmanship were outstanding from start to finish. Joe’s understanding of what I wanted to accomplish resulted in a finished product that was even more amazing than what I had envisioned. Frei Remodeling & Construction is a thorough, detailed, and customer-oriented company with a passion for their business and a commitment to ensuring their client’s complete satisfaction. We had major water damage in a master walk-in closet and the entire closet had to be gutted and rebuilt.  Joe was the only contractor who actually answered the phone the first time I called and got the process started right away.  He was incredibly efficient and did really high quality work. Joe was great to work with.  He walked us through every step in remodeling our master bathroom.  Joe removed a leaky shower insert and built a beautiful shower with quality materials in its place. I had Frei work on the addition I was building onto my house. Specifically, I had them install all of the windows and interior and exterior doors.
